Give back to the environment with the Ohio Department of Natural
Resources (ODNR) and Grand Lake St. Marys State Park (Celina). At this
fun-filled event, ODNR will provide opportunities for Girl Scouts to
contribute to the Girl Scout Tree Promise! Girls will receive an
introduction from state foresters on the importance of tree planting,
learn more about the environment & biodiversity, and watch a
demonstration on how to plant before taking planting into their own
hands. This is a free event for the whole family (patch not provided)!
Not a drop off event. The tree planting site is on the west side of
the dam at West Bank Park, GCGG+X74, Celina, OH 45822 (GPS coordinates
are 40.52791, -84.57307).
The ODNR requires each
participant - youth and adults - to complete a volunteer agreement and
waiver for this event, as well as a photo and video release form.
