2023 was a fantastic year of growth and change at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. Thanks to the partnership of many volunteers and donors, girls in our communities reached their full potential through Girl Scouts. Our numbers show some of our successes — including increased membership, a solid financial foundation, girls' outcomes, and more!
Because of your support, over 28,000 girls in our communities participated in Girl Scouts by:
- Exploring their interests and discovering new passions through hundreds of only-in-Girl Scouts program events.
- Enjoying the outdoors through camp days for girls served in schools and a hands-on construction camp session — all happening at our newly renovated camps.
- Learning business skills while running cookie businesses, raising over $2 million to fund their adventures all year long.
- Improving their communities through service projects, including hundreds of girls who earned their Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards.
Thanks to you, the Girl Scouts for Every Girl program launched, which is providing innovative ways to ensure every girl can be her best self in Girl Scouts. The Empower Her capital campaign concluded, resulting in a range of improvements at our camps. We also provided a variety of impactful programs in which girls learned everything from mental health and well-being to construction trades — all to meet the needs of today's girls!
As we look ahead to 2024, we remain dedicated to tackling youth mental health challenges and addressing leadership gaps in key industries, especially those in STEM fields. We are also committed to ensuring every girl has a robust Girl Scout experience.
Thank you, to the many volunteers, donors, and stakeholders who partner with us, for continuing to believe that when you invest in girls, our world is changed — and so is hers.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
