In September, Troop 4296 visited Camp Butterworth for the first time! The girls attended the Camp Open House event, during which they got to explore the camp property—including the new facilities funded by the Empower Her campaign—enjoy s'mores with other Girl Scouts, and earn a special patch given to all who attended.
While at camp, the Daisy troop hiked three trails in total. Troop volunteer Megan says the Chapel Trail was a bit challenging for the girls, but they were able to work together to hold onto the rope and complete their hike. The girls also learned about how bees pollinate and planted their own pollinator in Camp Butterworth's new pollinator garden. They finished off the day with sweet treats and singing songs on the friendship wrap-around porch. "I can't wait to stay there with the troop and let them experience more exciting things while being the strong girls they are," Megan says.
