National Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA
GSUSA is seeking up to eleven (11) new members to join the National Girl Scout Advisory Board to Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) for a two-year term. GSWO will be nominating two applicants from our council to submit for GSUSA consideration.
The National Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA is a group of middle and high school Girl Scouts who make recommendations, contribute to key initiatives, and influence decision-making processes with our national office. Advisory board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with decision-makers at GSUSA, and grow skills to prepare for post-secondary education and future leadership opportunities.
Members of the Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA contribute to many different projects, such as:
- Brainstorming names for new cookie flavors
- Giving feedback on Highest Awards recognitions
- Participating in GSUSA-led research
- Sharing opinions on new program content
- Meeting with international Girl Guides and Girl Scouts
