Tami Lott was a member of the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois Council when she was growing up.  She has fond memories of earning badges, attending summer camps and leading younger girls.  Her one regret is that she did not stay in Girl Scouts and was unaware of the full potential that Girl Scouting could bring to her life.  For this reason, Tami jumped at the opportunity to start leading her daughter’s troop from its formation in kindergarten.  After 13 years together, her troop still has 5 original members and has traveled to Savannah, New York City, and is busy working on details for a graduation trip this summer.  Her oldest daughter, Kaitlyn, has served on the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Board of Directors.  In 2018, Tami started the circle all over again with a second group of girls and her youngest daughter.  Together, the sisters have teamed up to spread the excitement of Girl Scouting.

Tami is a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management.  After many years in the restaurant, hotel, and sales and catering industry, she chose to stay home and raise her family.  Little did she know, leading a Girl Scout troop is a full time job!  In 2016, Tami started her own crafting and culinary business and spends her free time sewing for local troops.  In 2018, she began working at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy’s Upper Elementary School.

As a mom and a leader, Tami sees the challenges that are facing our young women today.  It is imperative that they have positive, strong and accepting role models that will listen, guide and stand up for them.  It takes a village to raise a child and Tami accepts every girl in her troop as a member of her family.  Her standards and expectations are high, but her love knows no bounds.  It is Tami’s goal to guide and build her girls into young women of courage, confidence and character that will make this world a better place.

Tami currently resides in Cincinnati with her husband, Ambassador and Brownie Girl Scouts, and two Boy Scouts.
